Dark Sun

I recently acquired some minis from a friend and am looking for some info. His tenant left in a hurry and left his house in a wreak. He left some minis from Dark Sun games and old Warhammer. Seems to be from 1991. They are metal and very few are even painted. There are squats,Aspect warriors, space marines, and a lot of Dark Sun figures. Not sure about the Dark Sun figures. Anyone have any thoughts about them?

They are very, very old. Originally made by Ral Partha, IIRC.

What exactly do you want to know?

Are they still collected and is there any market for them? Can they be used in current play? I’m a Daemon collector myself but I do like collectibles. Just looking for some info. I will write back soon and give a list of what I have.

There was a recent Kickstarter to reboot Dark Sun. No associated miniatures, but an updated ruleset, IIRC. It likely a specialist collection at the moment.

Personally, I don't know any Dark Sun players. In fact, this is the first time I have heard Dark Sun mentioned in a decade. It's a shame, I quite like the setting.

They might be interesting for collectors.
I know the DS setting was my favorite of the Adnd settings.

Sadly while some minis look ok, most of them really look from the stone ages and are unatractive sculpts.
