hi there,
with my spacewolves almost finished i wanted to start something -from a painting-pov- completely different. therefore i decided to give a cahnce to the IG this time.
i started with the tank you can see in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=va1S63I9m30
-
the tank is the first of 3 which will form a squadron. the nice thing about those 3 will be, that all of them will be controlled with the same remote.
.
another tank that will be added to this army will be my iron saint you can see in this video:

-
than 3 leman russ, 3 basiliski, 3 valkyres and 3 titans (warlord.- , reaver.- and warhound-class).
for infantry i\'ll try to use metal only and maybe start with mordians ans praetorians, first, because i already have ~ 80 unused of those somewhere in one of my boxes.
-
ok ... i think that\'s enough for the introduction. so let\'s start with the painting-related stuff:
as i mentioned before i wanted to keep the scheme dark, with a touch of camo and of course fitting for flyers, tanks and even titans. further the scheme should request completely different tecniques than my very comic-like space wolve scheme. so i decided to keep it realistic with rust, dust and lots of waethering.
because i really liked the dkok-scheme used by forgeworld on one of their shadowswords i decided to try that as well.
the only thing that troubled me a little bit was, that i neither own an airbrush-set, nore do i want to use and learn it. - so i had to try it with the ordinary brush, only.
.
the tanks shown in the following pics is still very wip, but the scheme itself, the tracks, exhausts and the weathering is already finished.
lots of details, the barrels, the aquillas ... are not painted yet.
currently i\'m thinking about a way to add some color somewhere, but don\'t know where, yet. to be honest at the moment i don\'t even know which color i should use.
i thought yellow could go well with this scheme. and maybe red for lenses and dark green for plain glass. i think even dark green could go well for the barrels or cloth.
...
if there anything you don\'t like about it, or if you have ideas how to continue or improve this scheme, please let me know! ...
-
thanks in advance ...
