Dark Angels squad

So doing a 5 man squad from the Space Marine Battleforce set.Trying my version of extreme highlighting,this is what I have so far.Also did 5 bases with a DA symbol for the squad.I like how the bases are turning out but not to sure on the power armour.What do you think?.

I DO like the bases! :)
I think the highlighting on the troopers is a bit bright though - almost neon :)

nice highlights the only thing i\'d change about the bases is paint the plain cork to look like stone not just leave in bare cork, but other than that great job.
can\'t wait to see them finished.

Sam bases have noting other that the first layer of paint to show the design.Going to try a marble type floor for the tiles and sword and wings though it may not turn out well.As I have never did anything like it before :).

Done a little more work on the squad have the head and shoulders done on all 5 though may push the highlights up another layer or 2 not not sure yet :)

Ahhhh I missed that bit about extreme highlighting - Apologias mi amigo!

That\'s what staying up till 3am will do to you :p

Looking at it like that, they do look pretty cool - like they\'re walking under strip lighting - they would be COOL for use in like a space-hulk type scenario :)

Got all the power armour done now onto the first base coat of metal trim and guns.Also fixed them to their bases.

Getting near the end now just need to do the odd touch up and the skin on the front marine has only a base coat.

and the people on eBay probably don\'t even get to see the detail on the bases, but are bidding under what i think these are worth.

Worth is hard to define Shadzar mate I know some sellers on eBay get more for a squad and the paint jobs are not as good but it takes time to build up a good customer base.

I know my level of painting is no were near the top end of the hobby but I do my best and it seems to be working as I have a lot of repeat customers and starting to pull in some commission work.

So with the help of this site and you lot I\'m doing something I love. Been back at painting just over 5 months now and just about to start a £100 commission job for a good customer of mine.

Its amazing how much of a lift something like that gives me. Knowing someone likes my work and is willing to pay me to paint is a dream come true.

Hehe this started out as a WIP and ending up as a thank you from me to all of you .Must be getting soft in my old age :).
