Hey Boys and Girls! This is my latest piece, I painted her up for a small Dark Age comp but she wasn\'t good enough to take the top prize. Next time! *wink*

Would love to know what you all think of her.

Nice! :) I like the pale colours and the face is nicely captured.

I don\'t think the se-nmm effect works though.. needs to be more complicated. You\'ve done the reflections more or less as the surfaces where flat.. and I think that it is better to tone down the colours of the ground & sky. I think Nejoho (Neil Hodgson captured that effect brilliantly on this one But even his effort isn\'t entirely perfect. se-nmm is a difficult tecnique, that\'s for sure.

Thanks for your comments.

I had a lot of trouble with the SENMM parts, I haven\'t really tried it before and wasn\'t entirely sure how to go about it all. I kinda gave up in the end and just went with the 2 toned metal but wasn\'t really striving for a true SENMM feel cause I couldn\'t pull it off properly. Does that make sense?

Great work - I love the subtleties of the pale colours, very nice and smooth blending. I particularly like the pale blue areas, very interesting tones in the shadows. Her skin looks really good also. I would steer clear of SENMM if I was you, and jsut stick with regular NMM - you are obviously good at that, as her disc blade things look excellent! The base looks a little rough - it\'s cork, right? Maybe if you hacked it up a bit more randomly on the top edges etc. it would look mor realistic.

Nice paint job just wondering what the gold bits are supposed to be on her body. I think it would have looked better without them. The hoops needed more H/L and shading. Great job tho. Voted.

Gold bits on her body? Do you mean her chest armour and helmut?

It would have been a lot of work to remove them, in hindsight I probably should have painted them diferently, but you get that.

Thanks for your comments. She was a bit of an experiment all over really. I painted her entirely with the Rackham paints, which was new for me, trying to work out what to use for NMM was a bit of a hassle cause I\'m used to the reaper master paints now. Still I quite liked them and will use them again.
