Cryx Stalker basing...

Looking at this miniature sitting on my shelf, I think its worth it to give it an eccentric but nice looking base to fit in with its appearance, but how is what I\'m stuck at. Generally I have a good imagination but when it comes to needlepoint legs I\'m really stuck. How could I base something so delicate and know it will stay without burying its legs beneath the base?
Examples of whats done but I can\'t really see how they did it.

Thanks for your time as always. :)

Well GretchinDeathKommand did his Stalker by cutting off the tips of the legs, leaving a more flat surface area then filled the base with water effects. This will let you get both a stronger attachment with more surface area and a bond with the water effects.

Ah, the stalker. Haven\'t gotten around to building mine yet, but I think I\'m going to have to file a bit off the bottom of whichever legs I want to be touching the base, and pin them so the base has something to grab onto.

Exactly what you do will depend on what pose you wind up with, but be prepared for a lot of pinning--I\'ve heard horror stories about the stalkers. You might also want to check on Privateer\'s forums to see if there is any more advice on there.
