According to the rulebook and stat cards for Ilva and Ephramaki both should be on 30 mm bases, however it seems I was sent 40mm bases instead. I know there has been some issues with incorrect items mailed to other backers and coming up with a couple of replacement 30mm bases isn't an issue, but in this case I'm questioning the cards and rulebook. I wonder if both Ilva and Ephramaki shouldn't be on 40mm bases instead. Here are my references:
The relatively recent battle report on Youtube published by CoolMiniorNot of the Hadross vs Goritsi shows Ilva on a 40mm base. You can see this at 1:08 into the video: http://youtu.be/tK6BfxbLyuE.
Update #104 on the Kickstarter page shows a painted Ephramaki on a 40mm base: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coolminiornot/wrath-of-kings/posts/1077493.
On top of these two examples from a purely aesthetic standpoint, I think both models look more appropriate on 40mm bases given their size. Now if they have been put on 30mm bases for game balance reasons I can understand, a 40mm base would give a slight bump in the range of both models' abilities.
I'd love for an official response on which base is correct before I set these models to their bases since I hate tearing models off of bases after the fact.
If this question has been answered somewhere else and my search-fu is just weak, please point me in the right direction.
