Hiyas everyvun. I stumpled upon some older threads about putting all the Cmoners on to an earthmap, but that thread died presumably... Now Lets take another shot at it:

Get Google Earth here (Its Free!): http://earth.google.com/

Install Google Earth. Start it. Then Open File Cmon1_5b.kmz (which you jes downloaded)

Then you get this. :D

Other Notes:
I used the public Information of FAMP for this 1st version. Please tell me all the Info you would like to have show up on the worldmap or what I shall remove. Also help me put you guys on location. I think I got you in the vicinity of 100 squaremiles of where you live, maybe closer maybe I overshot or placed ya in the wrong country altogether. ???
I will update the worldmapfile every week or so.

(EDIT 7/12/05 15:50 GMT): The Worldmap is being gradually enhanced. Please dont be mad when you have been placed several miles from your Homes, I worked with limited Info. Just tell me to place ya on the map and where. Also state any Info you would like others to see. Cheers (EDIT)

The western half of the States appears to be a desolate wasteland, apart from some enclaves in California and Washington.

This is pretty nifty! Im currently giving FaMP a facelift right now but ill add a page for this to my to-do list :D

This is very very cool.

It does help to click the filter to \'add borders\'...The default must be without them.

Could you move me, if its not too much trouble?
It seems I\'m in the wrong section of the state all together. If you could put me near Waterloo Iowa (elk run heights to be precise), I\'d appreciate it!!

@Seb Well I guess thats pretty warm over there... can\'t paint minis when its that warm. Looks like deserts to me... But i am matter of fact a geographically-impaired induhvidual, so i may be very wrong...

General. The Tool is pretty nice btw. tons of Info in it and you can zoom down to see the cars in the streets of Tokyo! :eek: Man I hate to think what an actual espionage satellite can see... :cool:

EDIT: @ Vike. I\'m on it. ;)

EDIT2: Vike: Those coordintaes would put you somewhere in a cornfield near cedar rapids... Is that right? :rolleyes:

if you know addresses you get to see peoples houses (MUAHAHAHAHAH)

Just wait until the GPS chips in your cel phones are turned on. You will then be able to find you (or at least your phone) anywhere, anytime, anyplace.

BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING.


And I am shown about a hundred miles south of my actual postition.

And I think Bushido is actually a lot closer to Miami?

He seems well placed, it\'s just his moniker that looms large. As I saw this map I swear the sun went behind a cloud...or SOMETHING BIG lol

TAB is there too...same house even...and i can see it in the pictures!!!

i noticed peter there...and shaz is in some kind of stadium thingy...i really like this thing :flip:

Wales is very poorly detailed inasmuchas I can\'t zoom into my house like the others. In fact it\'s my Mother\'s house. Ain\'t been there for about 2 years lol Living-wise anyway. Split with the old wife and had to doss there for 6 months. Lovely :D

Gotcha Wolf. Put Tab next to ya IPM. NSA on Location. ;)

I am just playing around with that Thing and I could put your AVATARS instead of the lil Flags. :bouncy: Wouldn\'t that be nice now? I will add this to the next update, which will be prolly tomorrow. The downside is I will have to make another small (3 - 4 meg) download for the avatar-library, but i guess you guys and gals have quite nice downspeeds on your connections. Any Objections?

EDIT: Yes it\'s only all FAMP atm. I hope more Cmoners post their Locations in this thread so we get the Worldmap filled. :D
