Just wondering is it possible to do flowing cloaks on minis using only inks with a white primer, using layering techniques? I m currently painitng a Desperado orc and was wondering if this would give good results???
thx

Yes it is quite possible, how ever you must use alot of control to prevent it from seaping over and messing up the rest of your work. You will have to use successive layers, just make sure the previous layer is dry. In other words you might need to be working on another miniature or two wile doing it.

use an extender instead of water.
this makes the ink a bit more thick and less likely to run.

wait for the layers to dry though. otherwise is might still run, just a bit slower. you can end up with a slow paintslide!

not much luck...

I haven\'t had much luck in using just plain inks, but as a glaze or shade coat, i have liked some of my results, especially on cloaks.

Give it a go and tell us how it worked!
