Clarifications after my first game

Hello all. I recently played my first game and had a few questions.

1. Can the Amazons attack diagonally if there is a wall in front of them or the opposing figure (let's say one of the Demons)?

2. Can bruisers score if they pick up the ball after a tackle action, or does it have to be passed to a runner?

3. Can a bruiser pick up (or be passed) the ball at any point or can they only get it from tackling another player's piece?

2. Bruisers can never score.

3. Bruiser can pick up, pass or receive the ball. They can't steal the ball.

Awesome! Is there a current PDF of the instructions online anywhere? I was able to find http://www.coolminiornot.com/images/kickstarter-kb/KB-Rulebook-v0.9.pdf, but I'm not sure if that has been updated. Thanks again for the help!

I'm having a lot of fun looking over the rules again and have a few more questions.

1. If Gojira! smashes a square while there's a knocked down figure or dropped Kaosball, what happens? I would imagine the knocked down player is just benched, but what would happen to the ball? Is it moved or is it taken out of play for the period?
2. If you win a tackling contest that another player started and you decide to push them, do you HAVE to push them to an open space? Can you leave them where they are? Or let's say the figure has an open space to the left, but there's a figure behind it. Can I say that I'm pushing it directly back for the knockdown? The rule book working is a little vague. Should it say "If, however, ALL of the spaces adjacent to your figure" instead of "If, however, any of the spaces adjacent to your figure?" Full rule below:
"The winner of the contest moves your figure one space in any direction (but not diagonally) as long as you could legally move into that space. If, however, any of the spaces adjacent to your figure (besides the one with the contest winner) is blocked or occupied, you’re smashed against it and knocked down in your own space instead."
3. Is there an action to willingly bench one of your units or is that only a result of cards/abilities?

I would say nothing to either, as at the end of the period the damage tokens are reset, just makes that space impassable.

You do not have to push the player

Yes

Let's say the figure has an open space to the left, but there's a figure behind it. Can I say that I'm pushing it directly back for the knockdown?

If you decided to push that player they would be knocked down no matter what. You are not allowed to push a player to an open space if that player has any blocked spaces adjacent to it.

3. Is there an action to willingly bench one of your units or is that only a result of cards/abilities?

Right now just the Paragons Team ability lets you willingly bench a player.

1. Nothing would happen, you damage the space and it's now impossible to enter it. Anything in that space remains there.

2. When you defend successfully against a tackle, you don't have to push the opponent back. However, if you decide to do it, it's automatically knocked down if any of the spaces adjacent to him are blocked.

3. You cannot willingly bench a unit, you need an effect that specifically does that.
