Can someone official shed some light on whether King David III can use his ability after he's been killed by a payback reaction? We had a situation where he was in the square as Raven, tried to move away and ended up dying from a payback reaction. That player then activated Raven, triggering on King Davids 'ends his activation' abililt and used his +2 dice because King David III to attack was dead.

Is this legal? Can Raven be activated in this situation or does dying move you off the board and therefore not allow you to end your activation in the same square as Raven?

technically his activation ended on his card, not on ravens square. dead figures still have a location in the realm of play.. and its on their card.

For example, if they have astral strike you can activate them from their card and use it. I think most abilities can't be used from an activated dead hero, unless explicitly stated. This implies they still exist within the greater realm of play, if not on the board itself. It does beg the question if a dead hero has an ability that doesnt require being close or LOS, can they use it while dead, if activated. Magu for example has no specific restrictions other than being active to use her power.
