Chaos Marks

Hello All,
i\'m currently writing up an army list at the moment for Chaos. I want to make it look like a Soul Drinkers army that is led by a Chaos Sorceror with the Mark of Tzeentch.
The question here is that because my HQ unit has a chaos mark, do i need to have the same mark on all my other units? I wrote a list that was appropriately themed (only the Lord has a Mark) but if i want to take it to a tournament (as i will do one day) i want to know if it\'s tournament legal.
So can i have a leader with a mark and then have no-one else with the same mark?

That\'s absolutely legal! IIRC, if your Lord has the Mark of Tzeentch, the rest of your army can bear the marks of Slaanesh, Khorne and Chaos Undivided. :)

Aye, Slaaneshi and Khornate Units become elites though. Undivided Tzeentch marines become troops. Only start having the heavy restrictions when you go for a cult force, ie Thousand Sons. (Think i got that right, been an age since I played a game)

Might want to know the new codex will be out in a few months though, so best not to get too attached to the list. (Though the new codex should remove a lot of the confusion around chaos now thankfully)

The new Chaos Space Marines codex is coming out in August or September, with a lot of awesome new models.

Unmarked or Undivided marines are always legal under any army commander. Marines with a different mark than the commander are Elite (or not allowed under the Ancient Enemies rule).

A marked independant character cannot join a squad of marines with a different mark, unless he\'s marked Undivided.
