Centurion - first submission

I'm counting this as my first submission here. I really don't remember submitting anything, or at least intending anyone to vote on the other two things in my gallery.

Had so much fun again painting this warjack and learning a lot from the Painting Buddha videos.

Feel free to tell me what you think could use improvement. Gotta keep learning :)

Almost Perftec! Aw, crap.
Nice work! You make those God awful models look dynamic and cool. I think you could have added a bit more pigment in places all over him as it would settle in recesses and perhaps pushed some OSL on his weapon too. Other than that it's a top notch job! :good::good::good:

Thank you so much for all the kind comments. It means a lot but also feel free to point out any bits that don't sit quite right. I'll revisit it and make any corrections in time I think. Just need a little break from this one.

A friend took pictures with his new camera (mine is 10+ years old) and a black background. Thought I'd share.

The model looks great in and of itself. The picture could use some adjustments though. Try using the camera's macro function,.. set your ISO down as low as it can go (usually around 100 or so),.. and if it has a separate aperature setting (sometimes called an "F-stop"),.. try setting it to somewhere around 16. (you may need to go up or down a click or two from there,.. but it's a good starting point). Just doing these 3 things will vastly improve the photos.

I'm not a fan of warmahordes mini's, just a personal thing, but you made this one enjoyable to look at. Great work!

Nice, I have a Centurion I'm thinking of starting soon. Yours is good inspiration. I love the posing, and nice job on the scratches and damage. I think it's interesting that your photos are much better as far as submission quality and are sure to net a better score than those done with your friend's camera, but his do show close-up details better. Good job.

Thanks again. Yeah my buddy is still getting used to all the functions of his camera and I've had a lot of time to try to find what works with mine. Webmonkeys tips will go a long way to help though I'm sure.
