Celtos dirty little secret or am I uninformed?

After following a link to some old resin terrain I stumble upon this. Exhibit A After further probing I find these. Exhibit B Exhibit C And Exhibit D
These all bear a striking similarity to the celtos line of terrain that can be seen HERE. Does anyone know why Grendel resins look exactly like the celtos line?

I don\'t know for sure, but my suspicion is that Celtos bought the line from Grendel. Grendel\'s been around a long time; spotted some ads for them in a really old White Dwarf (well, it may not have been the same company, but was a company called Grendel which made resin dungeon terrain).

Anyone confirm or deny this?

Well Grendel and Celtos have kind of been hand in hand but now the whole Celtos franchise is up for sale which was a shocker for me.
Urban Mammoth want to concentrate on the Urban War game and are dropping Celtos altogether.

I would guess that UM picked up the old Grendel resins. I am unsure if Grendel is in business anymore, but they were making stuff LONG before Celtos.

I read the article in the latest Harbinger mag that Celtos was being dropped in favour of Urban War and it went on to list all the assets a prospective buyer would inherit.

My recollection is the companies have a few people in common. The whole I kore, Urban mammoth, Kryomek, Target Games, Grendel thing. Conspiracy theorists have been sighted often on Frothers and TMP.

Games Worksop saw sales dropping when the Rackham stuff came out, so they \'secretly\' set up I-Core to create some fine-ass bitches to compete with the anorectic fiannas.

I too heard about celtos being sold and the news leaves me optimistic. I don\'t play, but if they finish the rules and release new figures that still match the current ones it may be the spark needed to light this awsome game.
Ya\'ll are probably right about grendel being bought by our friends at Urban Mammoth.

Its because Ikor, Grendel, Urban Mammoth and a dozen other companies of one type or another all have one person in common..John Robertson..I beleave his name is.. dont know how he does it but he constantly has one company or the other running and keeps shuffeling product around. As long as the product keeps in production Im happy.
