today I was (once again) at the warhammer shop and I heard that the shop whould stop selling Dark eldar... I even got the last drazhar.... I was... pretty :flame: can they just stop selling it? now... I gotta buy it from the internet... damn I\'m pissed!!

???
Well, I certainly didn\'t hear anything about the Dark Eldar line coming to a halt. Not completely, and since the next codex might be the Ork one, it would\'t be time to change the Dark Eldar... I hope they were kidding you... and if so, go there and kick them in the stuff.

lol... well I heard it before when I was in Amsterdam (yes I live in the netherlands)... but I didn\'t expect it to be here too.... now I only can buy it from the internet... I don\'t know... guess I don\'t have to cycle for about 30 minutes.. and then 30 minutes back again too... but still... guess people don\'t like the DE... ??? somehow....
but... I won\'t go all agressive about it... I can just punch them once or twice and talk peacefully about it...

As I understand it The Dark Eldar / Eldar are due to be combined in a single Codex.
Which is why the classic Phoenix Lords are not being restocked to GW Stores.

Expect a possible slight revamp of some of the R&F figures and a major overhaul of the Characters.

With a bit of luck there may even be some new Harlequins. (But I\'m not holding my breath!)

Uh-huh. Dinnae hear anything about that (and a couple of friends work for the Gevil Wempire ??? So you mean Dark Eldar might be something like Eldar with spiky bitz or...?

the dark eldar are eldar that went to the dark side.... they are the most evil of them all... they have no respect for any person including their selfs... hmm I never really cought in the hystory.. maybe I should... but it was something like the eldar summond something (a god I thought) evil.. and so making their own worst enemies... and yeah.. dark eldar have a lot of spikes, hornes, knifes and WAAAAAY lot\'s of torture machinery...

but people don\'t like the mini\'s... that\'s why they don\'t sell right... well.. I can make a 1000 point army... so if I buy a little more till I have about 1500 then I\'ll go on to an other army...

Well the way I understand it is that GW is going to stop selling some of its armies in stores, and they will have to be ordered. But if I understood corectly the system you will be able to order to the store and get it from your store ( with slight delay) with no extra shipping charge. Wich basically means the stores won\'t have to stock up on things they are not sure to sell.

hmm.. that whould be ok... then I don\'t really mind... well... I\'ll see how it\'ll work out... maybe I\'ll have my army done before their stock runs out... or if I only can buy one more pack of warriors then I whould have the most of what I still need/want (want two packs of warriors)

if they are not selling DE they don\'t have to stock it, though you would be able to get it mail order.

Alright, I\'ve talked to my contacts at my local gaming store (They\'re more willing to tell you what\'s going on than GW). GW has stopped shipping the Dark Eldar line to the stores, however you can still order them online. The Dark Eldae have always been a cult classic (No pun intended but it is funny). The line and the army just don\'t do as well as the big name ones (Space Marines, Chaos, Orks, and IG). GW is planning on bringing the two Eldars into a single codex, but till then you can get your DE minis on the online store. Don\'t hate me for saying this but lets face it, most of the people interested in DE already have an army, those that don\'t can get it online.

The DE line has been smoldering for a while, nothings been done with it recently and it\'s always overlooked. It\'s was either going to get a big boost or dropped entirely like a squat on a hive fleet. GW\'s noticed that dropped armys tend to get some followers after they\'re dropped, maybe removing the line from stores will draw some attention to it. Well, that\'s my 2 cents anyways

Wow. I\'m surprised in a way, but at the same time not. I mean, there wasn\'t much time spent making Dark Eldar in the beginning, was there? Some more effort might have helped the whole thing. Oh, and not sticking \'Dark\' onto the front of an existing race and almost going back on their divergence from the WFB races. (Grr. Yes. Anyway. I Will Not Rant)
Most of the people i know with DE only have it because of the 3ed 40k box.

I\'m impresed they decided to put them in the new Eldar codex though. Very much so.
I mean, it\'ll allow them to get some of their fluff more widely known, for one thing, since the DE book may just have been the worst of all the 3ed codices for that.
And the four Eldar races\' fluff is very interconnected, so they won\'t be losing out sharing with each other. A good part will need to be repeated in each case anyway.
Damn but they should put the others in. I\'m not hopeful. I\'d probably have a heart attack if they did. But if this is a precedent, it wouldn\'t surprise me if Exodites and Harlequins showed up in a future Codex now (future-future, yeah, since one non-imperial codex a year, with the foreknowledge of Tau Empires, Eldar, and almost certainly Orks being the first three).

[Oh yeah, and i hate them for bringing out new stuff. Because i have the attention span of a concussed kitten, and it\'s very hard to focus on one army at a ti-Shiny!]

If you\'re interested, Kilik, one of the major motivating forces behind the Dark Eldar is (imo at least) kind of neat:
All Eldar souls are consumed by Slaanesh, yes? DE, unlike Craftworld Eldar, do not wear spirit stones. They try to appease the ruinous powers by causing enough death and destruction to distract/placate them.
Oh, ok, it\'s not that good. But the Cormorragh bit? How can you not like that idea?

Oh, and since they have so little, but such varying background, any innacuracy in the above can probably quite reasonably be blamed on GW! :innocent:
