Thanks guys.

The goggle stuff is OK, bubt i was really meaning some kind of Pattern in relation to mini\'s - rather than real world - you know maybe some figs as examples? (thx airhead).

and Dan - my local armed forces? British DPM sucks - and has to be one of the most awkwards to paint right! :D

Cheers guys

Real camo patterns tend to look bad on minis, basically because they break up the lines of the mini and make it look like a blob, which is great if you want to avoid being seen, but doesn;t look so hot on a mini.

There are however a few schemes that look pretty good, the key is to keep the patterns simple. The grey, white black Cadian urban camo looks good, look in the imp guard codex.

DPM looks good on minis, this guy did it well

I intend to do this on a couple of my 54mm minis. I did a GW style kasrkin scheme on one of my guardsmen in my gallery, the style is quite effective.

Another source I remembered I had last night is a Hamlyn book of military aircraft paint schemes - great for logo ideas too.

I imagine Hamyln also do other books of the same type, such as maybe military uniforms - I know I\'ve seen other books like this.

Also - JANEs tends to be a good resource, especially if your after the more technical side of things.
