California Painters Get-together?

I've been noticing that there are a lot of painters here from California. Is there any interest from you folks to maybe get together for a paint weekend in a location central to us all? I'd really like to meet some of you guys (and gals) and see your work up-close and personal-like.

Forgive me if someone already suggested this - but if they did, would you point me towards the appropriate thread?

I am not a California painter - quite the opposite site of the Continent but... When Polish Games day was canceled by GW, Polish painters organized an alternative competition. May be, considering untimely death of LA demon, Californians can do the same... just a thought

I'd be interested in it and if we can do it before January 13th I can bring Roger Bunting with me. If not he'll just have to suffer with Platoon Britannica meet-ups.

I have no idea of the logistical necessities of making something like this happen - but if we can get, say...10 (?) people who want to do this, I think we'll have enough support to at least muddle our way through somewhat successfully.

Depending on the whens and wheres, I might be up for it. I know there was another thread just like this one a while back, with someone suggesting a meet and everyone else saying "I'd like in on that," but unfortunately it never went anywhere.

If this were to happen in say... the Bay Area, I would be interested. Unfortunately, this time of year is busy as all get out for me, however, during the summer I have a lot of free time and would be willing to help make this happen.

Also, there is a long standing mini painting group in the Bay Area that might be able to help set something like this up. The inner circle SFBAMP has done a few events in the past.
