Hey everyone, I've anonymously lurked around here for awhile, and after much procrastination, finally got around to creating an account and starting a WIP thread!
A brief background about me: I painted military models as a little kid, painted a couple race cars in my early 20's, and then around my mid-late 20's my friends got me into Warmachine/Hordes (I was much more interested in the idea of painting than playing, however). After painting my first few minis, I started a job which involved a lot of travel, which resulted in a 4ish year hiatus from painting. After acquiring a more static job a little over two years ago, I got back into painting. For the first year or so I blasted through a Cryx army to get a couple fully painted lists at a clean tabletop level. Once that was done I decided I was bored with tabletop quality and wanted to push my skills more, so I've been painting off and on over the past year or so, slowly trying to improve.
Which brings me here. Up to this point I've only ever painted 30mm miniatures, but over the last little while I picked up a couple busts. Now that I'm starting my first one, it seemed like as good of time as any to open a thread. The bust is Shennay from Ares Mythologic, I believe. I've started off with the face and eyes, followed by the chest:

Hopefully I find some time to paint over the next couple days so I have something new to show, but we'll see how it goes!
