I\'ve got some questions about some techniques in Bragon\'s DVD. Maybe something was lost in translation, but I find some parts a little difficult to understand.
The \"successive washes\" approach makes sense, and I am practicing this on my current mini - Pulling/pushing diluted washes towards the area of shade/HL. This is shown on the DVD with Thurgol\'s thigh.
I do not see how the \"intermediate shading\" approach is different. This is shown by painting a section of the hobbit\'s robe. It *looks* the same as successive washes, but the paint does not seem as diluted. How many shades are used? What is being done here?
