Boot to the head question

My opponent has the ball. On my turn I play Boot the head. I move into his space and pick up the ball, which ends my turn. My opponent stands back up.

Do we both get benched, just like standing a player up between periods?

Short and sweet: Yes.

Long and revised: No.

After some further discussion with Eric Lang, we decided to tweak the initial ruling. So if you knock someone down with a Boot to the Head card and end your movement in the same space as him, when he gets back up you -and only you- get benched.
