Blood Elf?

Ok, rather strange question guys..
I wish to have a go at painting a miniature to represent a Word of Warcraft: Blood Elf hunter.
Does anyone who knows of the game have any ideas on a suitable miniature?
I was thinking along the lines of a GW Wood elf? As I am new to the hobby I dont have the knowledge on OOP Minis.. maybe there is an old OOP mini that I could hunt for that would fit the bill?

Cheers

I\'m not familiar with WoW.
Is this what you want?

Seems almost any elf mini would do. Try looking at Reaper\'s \"figure finder\".Figure Finder

This is a good pic of a blood elf. The problem is the hunter would be wearing mail armor, so you might find that high elf models might be more suitable (without the helm, either that or take a look at some of the dark elf models.

In fact IIRC the actual dark elf beastmaster models would look good. You may have to do a little convertion to them, to give them a ranged weapon etc, but it would look cool. Also you would have to model the ears a bit as well.

Thats great, I can see the pics :)
In WoW hunters only get to wear mail at lvl 40, so up till then its Leather.... So having leather armour is not to much of a problem. Just means the mini would be representing a below lvl 40 elf.
I\'ll check out the DE beastmaster figs, I havent really looked at DE\'s before.

Thanks for the advice

Looks very nice & blood elf-like as well.

Thanks guys, I love the look of those Reaper elves....
Whats the best way of buying them in the UK?
Has anyone bought direct from their site to the UK?

Thanks

Well, I prefer a gray primer, and some local folks use a clear primer (called \"stained glass medium\" from hobby stores).

Rule of thumb is if you are going to paint in bright colors - fair skin, reds, yellows - you do better to prime white. If you are going to do dark colors - purples, blues, browns - then prime black.
Truth be told though it\'s really just a personal preference.
