My latest veteran is a Blood Angel and is now up for voting here:

Overall it is a good looking mini, I think the main problem with it is that the red lacks highlights, it looks a bit flat. Other than that it is a solid job. I like the damage on the chainsword and the freehand on the helmet is a nice touch.

Hey tim, long time! hehe

Yeah, I\'m not too sure about the red myself, this mini was really a test piece for painting blood angel armour as I thought it\'d be a challenge. The thing was I didn\'t want it to look too orangey with the highlights. Ah well, I dont think its too bad, I contemplated putting damage on the rest of the mini but I really wanted to get painting more interesting stuff hehe.

I think Tim hit this on the head. The reds need something, maybe instead of highlighting it, as the reds are nice now, try shading it some with a darker red. Overall it is very nice. His right shoulder pad is screaming for some freehand. And if you had the time I would suggest putting some more damage on him.

Great work--the aforementioned reds would be the only critique I have as well.

Looks very good from here, i like the red a lot, i don\'t particularly think it needs more highlights, as you\'ve sed sometimes it can make it go a bit too orange, i prefer this more realistic look, i do however agree with what Drake said about the shouldpad, thats the only thing i have to comment on. Good work.

I know it\'s too late to do anything about, but there is a glaring mold line on the backpack. The shading on the lower part of the legs looks a bit random. And the shoulder thing.

The chevrons on the sword look extremely good. I voted it 8 (7.5).
