Blightun Uber Allies

Hi there!

Inspired by Rivet Wars and Ted's great work, I made a parody of this German propaganda poster to go along with my Uncle is Watching You print.

I've been inspired by propaganda art for a long while, especially the German and Soviet constructivism art.

The classic "Deutschland uber alles" (Germany over All) seemed like a great starting point for an authentic piece of art:

Here I've RIVETIZED it:

I changed "Alles" to "Allies" because, well, they're not exactly German. They speak Blightsprechen.

I'll try to do more art after I get my dang troopers painted! (Those dang rocket cycles are challenge!)

Thank you for looking!

EDIT: Changed the translation from German: "Alles" means "All" not "Allies."

UPDATE: These are now official licensed prints! Limited to an edition of 250, you can get yours here.

Thank you!

Ted and I have been talking about me releasing these as official licensed art. When I get the 100% go-ahead from Ted, I'll post them into the store.

Just one small thing.... alles in German means all. Deutschland uber alles means "Germany over all". HA! I knew 2 years of German in college would finally pay off! Who knew it would be 20 years later? :beerwave:

It's a great poster and a great idea.

A small correction: "Deutschland uber alles" - means "Germany above all". I like the Blightun over allies spin though :)

Thanks for checking it out, and for your comments.

I don't speak German, so I guess I got excited in my translation. (Fixed in the initial post.)

That said, I too like the use of "Allies" instead of "Alles" as it makes it more of a parody of Nazi propaganda.

It's a great play on the words!

So Steam Crow and I got together and decided that these posters are just too cool to not be official so they are officially official :) I believe Steam Crow will be selling some in his poster store and at shows. And I'm loving the tiny versions I saw Steam Crow hung on his cool arc de triomphe. Hopefully he'll be inspired to make some more as Rivet Wars moves forward.
