Blending white to blue

The time has come again for aid!

I\'m currently working on a converted beast bray-shaman(Wargor of Tzeentch)
I have swaped the horns for something more tentacle like.
I would like to paint them from white(offwhite) to a purplish blue.

I need pics of anything like this or tips on executing it.

Thanks

When I do blending, I generally work like this:

Start at the darkest colour, add a layer of a lighter shade, then paint a line of a watered down mix of the two shades on the boundary between them, continue working along the surface, getting lighter as you go.

Hope this helps

A fairly quick way to do this is to mix your two \"end colors\" white & blue in 50/50 proportions and put this down as a base coat. When that is completley dry, mix up thinner versions of both colors ... apply the blue at one end and the white at the other and feather the intersection ... sort of like wet-blending w/ watercolors. Blending while the paints are wet will give you a soft \"lineless\" transition. You probably will want to hit the ends with slighter \"bolder\" mixes of the colors to make them really stand out when you\'re done.
