biker question

hi there

Can bikers get the extra attack bonus from having 2 close combat weapons? I ask this cause it feel particularly cheesy to have a SM comand squad riding bikes eqiped with a storm shield and thunder hammer or a pair of lightning claws. And what about the orks who start equiped with slugga and shooota?

They didn\'t used to but now they do get the extra attack. Cheese ahoy!




Don\'t forget that thunderhammers need to be used in pairs to get the extra attack though.

Also, Storm shields and Relic blades never give the +1 attack. Claws, PFists, Hammers still need to be wielded in pairs to give +1 A.

Add to that the fact that a bike HQ with stormshields makes for a hells expensive unit, and you can begin to see how Ork bossbikes are somewhat of a gamebreaker...

Yep. But the point cost is ridonkulous for what you gain. If you really want to go the full cheese: Captain and retinue, power claws(or fists or hammers) and storm shields all around. T5, 3+Armour, 3+invulnerable, Feel No Pain troopers with speed, twin linked bolters and a decent amount of power attacks.

How the fudge would you steer the bike wearing power claws, or dual wielding thunder hammers,lol.

I hate stuff like this, most people will use common sense but there\'s always one beardy person who will do it, just because there\'s a hole in the rules.

How about hacking the handlebars off the bike & modelling a couple of little joysticks/D-Pads/buttons on the bike footplates. Then model an orc big toe sticking out of his boots to use the foot controls? Or, I saw fairly recently, a model where there was a goblin sat on the petrol tank steering with a big orc sat behind him. Don\'t worry about having a cheesey beard if it\'s going to be a cool mini lol
