Biggest Army, EVER!

I was just looking through some of the old white dwarfs and came across a guy that had made and painted a massive 25000pt army and was just wondering if anyone has witnessed a larger army??

there was some polish guy (head of gw eastern europe distributors i think) who had like a whole company/legion of marines. he had titans and hordes of tanks. he used to provide them for mega gaming (like whole shops at a time) it was in the uk white dwarf a while back

not yet altho i did start a tyranid army i plan on getting to that size... unfortunatly my painting isnt all that great and even tho i concider them a mid 6 (possibly 7) theyl\'l prolly only rank around high 5 here on CMON.. unfortunatly how ever i cant even finish painting the bugs i have now as i have no paint and no money to replace the paint :rolleyes: altho once i get a job and some money you can be sure the force im starting with will be painted and added onto lol

OK, it wasn\'t belonging to any one guy, but over at Dakkadakka a couple of years ago they had a proudly-scanned heading of an army roster for one half of a 1,000,000pt-a-side game. (Yes, you read correctly)
They used a gymnasium floor...

The dakka post is gone, seems they just had a server die and switched to a new one starting from scratch. Lost all the old forums, pics etc. Was alot of cool stuff they lost it seems.

I once saw the Ultra Marine chapter GW painted for a Gamesday in 95 I think..all 1000 marines and support equipment.. wonder how many points that was.

haven\'t seen bigger...however i have seen a game that had over 85000 points of models on the table at once! 4 armies...all around the 20k points mark each! it was awesome!

I remember an old White dwarf Battle report, with 48000 pts a side...That was sadly 3 armies per side, yet again...

as Medved said, the polish guys blood angels where a huge army, 50, 000 poits to be exact. He is a speed painter and paints whole units on the train as polish trains are very slow. GW did not show close ups because the painting was a bit dodgy. The main reason for painting this army was because \"if i have a 1000pt game, ten people may watch, if i have 10,000 points, 100 people will watch but if i have 50,000 pts......\" qoute from OZ WD

a friend of mine has 26000 points of chaos space marines.... but they are a pain to see, really lol i think they would score 2-3 here

It is not legion , but a whole blood angels chapter - 1000 marines + all the vehicles , and the guy has nothing to do with GW - he was just mentioned in white dwarf :D
Indeed he is an RPG and mini freak.

He has a lot more armies ;)

Also as far as I know , he hasn\'t painted a single mini in his army ;)
As far as I know :D

And the trains aren\'t this slow here chap.
I travel every day 50 km to university and then back home ;) all by train :p

I have 20000 + points of Tyranids and growing ...... some are featured in my gallery and they cover a whole history of nid releases..Also will be playing a charity fantasy game with my 25000 point fantasy army..I love painting bi armies...or maybe it\'s an addiction..
It isn\'t a problem if I don\'t say it is ....
Also here\'s some pics for a game I ran in GW for Operation Armoured assault 998 tanks of all kinds in total...
