Big decks with sleeves: any suggestion of a card holder?

Hi everyone!

I have season 1, 2, toxic city mall and zombie dogs. I use the full deck of zombies and I customized the equipment deck, basically removing some repeated cards from season 1 and 2.

Recently I added sleeves to the cards and the decks became very big and, because of the sleeves, the deck slides sometimes...

Does someone already faced this issue? Can someone indicate a solution? Any indication of a card tray or holder suitable for the card size that I can buy to stop the deck from sliding?

Thanks in advance!

I've ordered one made of wood on a local store. Take a look on how it looked like:

That actually looks pretty nice. Just having Season 1, we don't have this problem yet, but I can see that if you added another stack as large as Season 1 that it would become more difficult quickly. My other concern has been protecting the cards. I'm not a fan of sleeves, but if you found some that were an exact fit, that would be pretty cool. I can already tell we are going to be using them a lot in the years to come. My wife loves zombies and I like to paint... though I may have bitten off more than I can chew if we follow the buying schedule SHE wants us to use to get all the expansions and some of the add-ons (already have WotD 1 and 4). Plus she's thinking that a $70 Ivy isn't too much to pay! o_O

If they do a good job, I could see a small side business for someone doing just these. I like the fact that it has places for both decks and the discards... at least that is what I am assuming the different stacks are for. Easy to add paint to and make it really spiffy!

I have all expansions and with sleeves the volume is higher. With season 3 coming on February, things are going to get worst! There are some sleeves that are an exact fit, search for the mini american size. They really help to shuffle the cards.

Yes, I intended to paint mine! Don't know how yet... But I am traveling and just received this photo. Unfortunately I will only put my hands on it on the beginning of February. Then I can show you how it is with my cards on it.

Thanks! That would be greatly appreciated. I'll look up the mini-american sleeves... helps to know what you are looking for!

As for painting, it is something I have wanted to do for a time. I have most of my tools and for the zombies, Army Painter has a great basic tutorial for the paints needed and how to apply them for the different types of zombies. I figure it will help me to learn to work with the paints well and to learn brush control. I'm not going for high level of detail, but I figure as I get faster and more sure of what I can do, I can improve on how they look. By the time I'm through with the zombies, I will be more confident on working on the survivors/zombivors. After that, I'll be ready to dive into my Island of Blood set that I bought a couple of months ago and have only assembled (no paints for them yet... and I blew my budget on the present for the wife... which actually helps both of us out anyway). Maybe by Christmas next year I'll be done with zombies for a while... I hope...

Do you have any manufacturer or seller information on this box? I have searched the web and have found card trays of similar make, but not any that have lids and double as a card holder like this one does. I would LOVE to get my hands on a couple of these for our Zombicide decks! (creaking, growing monstrosities that they are!)

I've ordered one made of wood on a local store. Take a look on how it looked like:

Actually I went to a store that make several work on work (this one is cut by laser) and I explained what I needed and he make these two for me.

I posted it here, so you can use as a model for yourselves. If you live in Brazil, I could order one for you, but I think that to send it internationally it would be very expensive.

I've recently made my own using foamboard and PVA glue.
Metal ruler and a sharp blade, make some measurements, provide gaps for easy card removal and a bit of foam on the bottom (so the cards sit on the foam ~ it helps to get at the bottom cards as you can push one side down which lifts the other side up.)

It works very well, I'd recommend it for future gaming

I think Burn In Designs makes some MDF card holders for Zombicide.

I picked up some trays from Litko and they were nice enough to engrave the Zombicide Logo on the side.

I have seen the Litko card holders advertised.
their blurb says they fit sleeved cards and have them in a small and medium size holding upto 150 cards?
can you confirm this and are they upto the job.
i use season 1 and 2 decks combined, sleeved with fantasy flight sleeves so the deck stands quite tall. Was looking at the Litko offerings but would appreciate hearing your thoughts on these before ordering as I'm in the UK.

I am VERY happy with what I ordered. I ended up ordering two of the "Personalized Mini Discard Deck Tray, Medium 75-100 cards," one in yellow and one red (that is my review on their website). Both trays have the Zombicide Logo on one side, the yellow one has "spawn deck" and the red one has "equipment deck" printed on it. I ordered the discard version because I wanted the draw and discard piles to be tidy. I don't have my cards sleeved and the Spawn tray holds all of my toxic, berserk, regular, lost, dogs, and skinner spawn cards, once I have the seekers, VIPS, and crows painted I'll add those cards to the deck, but I think it will probably exceed the tray's capacity. I really wish they made a tall version (150-200 card capacity) of the discard tray.

If you want I can post pictures?

I have ordered lots of different stuff from Litko and am always happy with the results.

edit.... I counted and the tray will hold over 230 unsleeved cards.

Check the website, they advertise to hold sleeved cards. The two I got are rated for 75-100 sleeved cards. If you do order from them read carefully because they make card holders for small and normal sized cards.

Hi there,
I have already looked at the website and have seen the advertisement. However I have been stung on occasion by adverts not , shall we say, telling the whole truth, which is why I was interested getting the info from someone who had bought the item

I totally understand that, I haven't sleeved my cards so I can't give you a count on what it will hold. As I said though, I've had good luck with them when ordering a variety of different stuff.
