Best of Show Léon Rampante 2006

Best of Show winning piece in the Léon Rampante historical/fantasy contest in Spain, they are sculpted by Mariano Numitone and painted by Danillo Cartacci.

thats amazing, how can anyone sculpt or paint like that. if i\'ve been scared before now i\'m petrified, and i think no matter how many scared faces (which they should put on!!!!) it will never be enough.

So smooth and realistic, aren\'t they? Some of nicest sculpting and painting I have ever seen.Really dynamic too. I\'m not sure what scale they are in, maybe 54mm?

they are 54mm yes.

The pair also won the Best of Show at the World Expo in Boston last year:

dynamic cavalry charges seems to be their trademark, but some superb single figures also

What is up with all the different banners? I don\'t like it cos of all the banners... to me that just looks like a bad excuse to do freehand... if you want to do freehand, pick up a canvas...

If it\'s depicting some historical moment, excuse me... hehe

True artists. Love both sets. They look alot bigger than 54mm but I suppose thats just becuase of the amount of detail.
