Beginners Guide to Painting Doom Miniatures

Hi all,
Just wanted to share my Guide I\'ve started for painting the Doom Miniatures from the new Doom Board Game( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/doom.html ). The game comes with 66 miniatures, just figured they needed some painting. A lot of people I\'m sure are converted from videogaming to miniature gaming, so I\'m hoping my guide might prove helpful to them.

What do you think so far?

*Claps* those are EXCELLENT! When i saw the boardgame in a shop sometime ago, i looked at the models and thought they needed painting. After, a garish yellow or green Imp isn\'t that scary, is it?

Does anyone know when I can find more pictures of Doom miniatures ? If anyone have a good painted ones, it also be a great help for me.
Thanks.

great guide...

Very good guide. It should be very helpful.

I agree those miniatures definately need to be painted. It seems to me the whole game would be more fun with hand painted minis...

I dont know if I should be hurt by that or not. But if you don\'t like my painted minis, you can try board game geek and look at their photo collection.

Also, just to let you know, I\'ve added some photos of the Hell Knight this morning. But the complete guide won\'t be up for a few more days.

Try www.boardgamegeek.com, and look up Doom. There are tons of photos of other painters. Be warned, some are frighteningly bad though.
In the game, the original mini\'s color plays a key factor, so I painted the rims of the base the corresponding color. Some people I talked to just painted their skin the color instead which looks really weird. Youll have to see.

I\'ll be done painting my minis in about a month. Im doing basically a group a week. 66 miniatures is quite a bit, but its also a goal I can finish.. Unlike some games where I buy more than I actually end up painting. :)

Pretty nice so far. These are pretty nifty models, actually, so I may wind up picking up (yet another useless) game. ;)

Oh, and for those of you who are lazy, here\'s a link to Board Game Geek
