Battle For Skull Pass, The Beginning.
Well i've always wanted some fantasy battle models, somehow i love the rank and file and nicely lined up regiments plus i wanted to start learning the rules too. What better way than to get the battle of skull pass boxed set GW are doing. I started painting the models and trying to think of colour schemes to brighten up the models etc because they arent exactly the most dynamic of models.

With the goblins i decided for the classic black and white coloured robes with a range of different patterns on the hoods. Then to distinguish my regiments the moon colours would be different per regiment. At the moment as i've only painted 2 regiments, red and blue seemed quite appropriate, i think i may go green for the next regiment but i don't want that to clash with the skin colour so i may use purple instead.

Im happy with the individual models and the overall effect of the regiment, they do look very cool together. I think i will expand the regiment sizes from 20 to 25 at least for gaming purposes so that the goblins have a little room for survival.

Ok so with my dwarves i wanted a nice regimented colour scheme which would stand out and look nice and bright. I eventually landed on a blue and white colour scheme. The colour scheme always takes me ages to be happy with but after my 5th model i was finally happy with how they turned out. Also with the dwarves since they aren't the most exciting models but had lots of armour to paint i decided to go and practice my use of metallics and leave nmm technique for my goblins. After about my 10th dwarf i was slowly getting the hang of thinning down my metallic paints to give a nice finish.
