Bases how?

I see alot of custom bases on minis. Whats the best way to create those rock formations? Actual rocks? Green stuff? carved up card? Any info would be appreciated.

Ripped cork, foamboard, plastic, actual rocks, chipped resin, some wood pieces, canned spam, floor tile remnants, bottle caps, spackle, sculpty, greenstuff, etc....

You kind of get the idea...

Use anything you think would work!

So long as it glues and you can paint it (Unless it doesn\'t need painting) then it\'s fair game!
