has anybody used at the Warhammer Chaos Maruders and take one figure and turn the figure into a non- chaotic barbarian (hero) ?

I've never done that , but I have painted and converted any of them. They are not the best barbarian types that are out there. Don't like their giant belt buckles or their overly blocky builds. Take a lot of prep work to get right as well. But I like to cut off the lower leg at the knee and glue to on at a ninety degree angle so it appears he is running. You can also very easily sculpt on a wolf or bear pelt. It's easier than it sounds so PM me for an SBS. I also like to carve off their belts and chains that go across their chests and refill this area with some musculature. Add some tattoos.

Better yet go check out Russian-alternatives barbarian minis. Best in the business.

That is a huge claim. Maybe the best in your opinion? Reaper have some pretty solid barbarians as do Hasslefree too.

Red Box Games got loads of great barbarians. Go check them out. Otherwise, for the "best barbarian miniatures", in my humble opionion, got to be Confrontation.

I don't think the OP, or anyone, needs me to state that this is my opinion. This holds true of all things subjective. <----This sentence is not opinion, but fact.
