Banners for WFB and 40K figs

Many GW figs need banners added to their poles, and of course conversions don\'t have any either.

I\'ve been making paper banners by getting them wet with thinned Elmer\'s Glue (PVA for you European types) to make it shapeable.

I\'m not sure I want to tackle making them with Green Stuff or Milliput, but that\'s probably only because I\'ve never worked with it.

I\'m open to suggestion on what makes good looking banners and flags, especially those that shouldn\'t be hanging nice and flat.

Paper mixed with PVS is good. You could also use the palstic ones supplied in most box set of minis from GW. I used a mix of Milliput and green stuff. It gives it the strenght but is also very flexible when its wet. I have used clothe treated with PVA to great effect and thin plastic card can be manipulated a little as well. Good luck.

tin sheet can be used for banners. watch out though the edges are very sharp. i would reccommend gs though. you can roll it out into a sheet, let it cure for about 30mins or so and then bend to shape. oyu can keep the shape by laying it over pencils (for plain folds) or cling film for more complicated shapes

I had planned to use some brass shim stock. Probably used for the same sort of thing as the tin sheet freakinacage mentioned. You can buy it in rolls and sheets at lumber yards, roofing suppliers, DIY shops, etc. In the roofing sections. I never got around to using it but power tools are always easier to use than mixing and shaping putty to me. You\'d probably want 0.010-0.020\" thick.
