I have some pictures of the minis from the Baltimore GD up on my website for everyone to see.

I personally painted the Tau Piranha coming in second in the open catagory and winning the Forgeworld best in show award.

The SlayerSword winner was the terminator sqaud....

I had already noticed this before but those pic confime it. The baltimore Gd is really the best of the US ones.
And I was noticing that there really is an american style.

Oh and is it just me or does that marine in the first pic have a rackham feel to it. ?

Hmmm.....it\'s definitely just you Arthur.

lollollollol Just kidding!!! I agree. The cape has the Rackham-esque folds and also that weapon and position of the left arm does make it look Confrontationish.

Thanks for posting the photos, huge jump in quality over the previous US Games Days this year! I really prefer the Dread over the squad, but how would it stop????

Neil

Sure, rub it in. I think this one is the closest to my house, a mere 5 hour drive. Damn, those pics sure make missing it hurt worse. To bad I had to work, my kids have some really bad habits... like eating.

nice minis, I definately more impressed with the level of painting at this GD than previous US ones this year, although still far behind that darn French one!! :)

I would have voted for that dread for best of show.

There\'s a huge drop-off in quality from the best to the rest. Quite surprised by that. Your spaceshippy-thing is very nice though maxxim, as are Whassisface with the terminators who posts here but my memory can\'t recall...

Very nice! :) I had a slight trouble choosing between the termies and the dread. The dread is definately a jaw dropping convertion with amazing gold NMM and beautiful reds. However. there are some things bothering me, the steel NMM isn\'t very convincing for me the blades does look cool though. I really think it\'s important to incorprate other colours then grey and also to use more contrast.. The style is cool, but it\'s a bit too clean for my taste, I like a more subtle technique. Still a 10 of course..! :D

The termies looks extraordinary with some of the best freehand I\'ve seen. Again I\'m not entirely sure about the NMM.. bit tough to judge though with the pictures. But I\'m deeply impressed by the constantly high quality. that\'s a 10 for me too.. :)

Hm I think I\'m going to go with the dread.. it has definately that extra wow-factor that does it for me...

Looks like baltimore have a higher quality that the previous US GD\'s this year.. I have some faith in Chicago though! :)

Well, Baltimore is a mere 2-3 hour drive from my place but I didn\'t go this year since I figured $45 a head was too much just to see a painting competition... and $$\'s been tight around here anyway. Oh, well, maybe next year...
