Pentdrago, the case I used is about 4" deep by 8" wide. and about 5" high (tall enough inside for most banner-carrying troops).
It's relatively small, but perfect for a squad of marines and a rhino, a Warmachine battle group, or even a small action diorama.
They're also very cheap, the one I used in the article was $5 at Walmart. There are larger ones available at any hobby store, just look in the model car/plane section.
Thanks for the votes and feedback!

I have thought of this idea before, so It's great to see that it looks amazing. I'll probably give it a try sometime in the future.

Hi There
What a great idea, I have been looking for something to use as display cases for my painted mini's and thes will be perfect! I especially love the idea that you can stack them to save room for more display cases lol.

This is a fantastic idea. Usually my minatures are just placed into a yogurt box or something, but with this it looks professional and cool!

Fantastic! After reading this article, I went out and picked one up. I had so much fun making a display case for my fave general and her retinue! I even added a pull-out movement tray for the regiment of guards... I see great stacks of these little boxes in my future.

Awesome idea I'm going to use the cases that people put beanie babies in as my mom got rid of her collection so I have a surplus of the cases.
