The clothes are finished and i was going for a velvet/silky look i think i achieved that look its all got nice and smoot with the blending.
i hate vallejo mat and satin varnish it always gives me more shinny than i was looking for.

Now heres what i need your help, the backpack i was looking for some angel kind of backpack, but something isn\'t quite right

The first and most prominent thing in my book is the lack of shadows, there is little shading to get the contrast needed for the colours. The Bone/white part of the armour looks as though that is the first layer.

For this u have to options depending how much time you are wanting to spend on the figure, personally i would shade down in the recesses and under parts of the armour that will naturally be shaded due to light. I would also do the same with the gold areas, because they are close to the bright bone areas its looking a little to light, the gold i would deepen down with brown washes and bring the lightest edges up by mixing in a bright silver, giving you the contrast needed.

On the green, you have the highlights but the colour doesnt look too solid, maybe use a few layers to give a solid looking colour then work in some shading there too.

Pretty much same on the backpack wings, i feel you have got the basics right but now you just need to take them up and down to the highest/lowest shade and highlight for that contrast and you will have a real striking figure

to follow on from cleezy. If this is just going to be a gaming mini then for a quick shading, spray a gloss coat over it and use some washes, wouldnt be sure how to approach it with a half and half scheme without making him look like a chop shop marine. Mybe a green for the green (obviously) and a light wash of brown over the bone.. with a thin black to tie them in. Im just speculating as a quick shade wont be as good as taking your time and giving your work justice

Hi,

im still working on the metals, at the time of the photo there were no higlights done to them.
The armor was still in the final stage, ive done a really soft da green wash to bleend everything and to soften the all green side.
As for the bone side ive hadded a little brown to the dark parts.

Now going for the backpack that had no work on it just some colors to see what it look like on the mini.
Im doing both the wing one and one from the DA command set.

Ill post photos as soon as i got them.

Thanks
