Alternate paint schemes

I\'m looking for alternative color schemes for actually all the factions for warmachine. All the armies are essentially the same in colors and schemes. Very little variation in how people paint them. I did see a menoth army in green and white which was nice. Really Im looking for ideas to paint them a different way from every one else so they stand out more. I am a little stuck for ideas. Space marines fluff mean you can make up any color you like, but the back story in the IK seems to limit choices as far as I can see. Not being too familiar with it so far.

Any ideas?

True there are only about 3 \'official\' color schemes for each faction but you can pretty much do whatever you like with them. Our local group has blue Khador 3 times, red Cygnar twice, a red and a purple Cryx, a green a deep red, and a black robed Protectorate, a red and a purple (and I mean PURPLE) Legion and green Skorne.

This has lots of people\'s ideas for colour schemes, and they seem pretty relaxed about \"official\" vs. \"unofficial\". I\'ve been quietly trawling it for ideas myself.

Look at some of their painting articles.
I know they have a few examples of alt color schemes.

I\'ve always thought the Khador in
Battleship Gray, Burnt Orange, Bone White would look kickin.....

How about a deep teal ( dark blue green ) ?
Accents in black, white, red ?

A desert sand scheme would look good too.....

Most of the folks I game with experiment all the time with Hordes/ Warmachine. Don\'t let the fluff stop you. Leave that to the FOW crowd.
