All The Rest and Then Some

This will be a series of photos of miniatures in progress from Rackham, Reaper, Flames of War, and a few other odds and ends. I to be am honest am not really a fan of nmm. I prefer the natural realistic look of metal instead of having a single constant light source. To me it looks silly and pointless. I dont mind the effect on a fixed point diorama. I do like lighting from obsecure highlights and lowlights. With that in mind what do you think of the highlights on this reaper miniature? I am going for a lighting angle off to the right front of the miniatures. The highlights and lowlights were done using watercolors and reaper paints. I am looking for any and all forms of comments criticism and thought process whether negative or postive.

This is a rackham miniature. The skull was meant to look like it had just been boiled. The wood grain is my most succesful attempt to date.
