Airbrushes and washes?

I recently dug out my old airbrush and found it to be a huge aid in painting large models that have to be all one color. Like a BA land raider or something similar. I was wondering if using an airbrush to apply an ink wash would work or if I would still be better off brushing it on as before?Any tips on doing this would be great.

i assume you are using the wash to shade? in which case, you are better off doing by hand. more control and you can push the paint into the recesses

Agreed - plus a wash wouldn't really do very much for a large flat surface, so just apply it to the recesses and rivets.

Agreed #2, washes by hand.

I would say that you should use the airbrush more if you have one - if you're just using it for large areas of one colour, that's sorely underutilising it! Lots more easy uses you can put it to including zenithal spraying, dust effects and basic 'block shading', all easily done (no l33t airbrushing skilz needed).
