Advice on Griffin Miniatures summoner colours

Hey all, I\'ve been a long time reader and want to improve my painting so figured I\'d post my miniature here for some advice on colours. I have colour blindness so find it difficult picking some colours for schemes and generally paint miniatures as shown.

Anyway here are two pics of my miniature -

I wanted the skin to look really shiny so I overdid the gloss varnish, but sadly blocks up a lot of the detail. Horns have only had first basecoat of Brown. Basically I need advice on what colour to do the robes of the demon. The original miniature had purple skin and cream robes which I didn\'t like at all.

Id loose the shiny skin and try to paint it to look shiny (Sharp highlights) The armour I would do gold and the robes probably yellow/orange and Id try my hand a t a bit of free hand on the sleeves and hem. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! I\'ll leave the skin alone for now, I definately like the sound of yellow robes. I never even considered it since I hate painting yellow as much as I do painting black. I\'ll give it a go though as it\'ll be good practice. I\'m thinking maybe some \'occult\' symbols in orange on the hems too. Will post when I\'m done.
