OK so i\'m sure youv\'e all seen Monty Pythons Holy Grail. Lancelot charges the castle, every time the camera cuts to him charging he doesn\'t seem to be getting any closer and then YEARGH! he\'s there hacking and slashing maiming and killing everything in his path!!
My point??

How come that always happens to me when Golden Daemon approaches? I started my entry for this year WAAAY back in April and i\'m still not gonna finish it, dammit, anyone else out there have the same kind of experience?:mad:

Nah. I usually manage to meet a deadline that I set for myself as long as it is reasonable. Now as to whether it\'s done to the standard I would really like it to be.... well that may have more to do with my skill level than the time I have allowed. Bust tail, shirk a day from real work and get that sucker done! You may not get it to the level you want, but you are sure to learn something. Good Luck!

I normally have this exact problem and end up not finishing or rushing (usually rushing) entries to make the event.

This year things are going pretty smoothly. Started early and I have three out of my four entries complete. The fourth is well on it\'s way.

But bad news on your entry. I suppose I shouldn\'t complain too much as I\'m entering the Open as well as Nejoho. But then I want to see your figure. Oh the confusion!

Currently there\'s VIC 9 and the \"Boring into Art\" sitting on my shelf.

The marine is just primed.
At least \"victor\" has some paint on him, though his hand broke off and he lost a finger....

Damn you speed painters!!! It takes me forever just to paint one model. Not to mention all the prep, sculpting basing, etc etc etc... :flame:

Ah that feels better. :innocent:

Steve, I\'ve not forgotton the art I promised you, will bring the originals along on the day. My Digicam wont do them justice and I\'ve not got a scanner :(.

Regards

Kat.

Well, Nehjoho.... You should have started in march then... just as I did :)

Nah... That is a bummer though... However, just like SteveI know the feeling. I usually also have to rush things at the last. This time I have actually started conversios and basic painting in March like I said. Now I have three finished and the fourth underway... I actually had a fifth but that is too much work in the end and would result in me hurrying the fourth as well as the fifth... So I chose to do just the four I have now.

Tammy... You\'re for real? I seem to recal a time you weren\'t as fast a painter you seem to be now, but then again, that is more than 10 years ago (more like 13!) :)

CU there all :)

Yep! I\'ve been too busy with work, comissions and being lazy I\'m going to paint my entry on Saturday:D:D:D:D I\'m not expecting to win anything though, some of the other entries for this years open comp. are just plain unbelievable!!!:bouncy::bouncy::bouncy::bouncy: Good thing I\'m not a judge, I\'d be biased...:innocent:

Oh boy... and those are \'just\' the ones you\'ve already seen..... Makes me glad I have decided not to enter in the open competition :D

Seems like a hefty competition...

I have argued with some folks about the heaviest category.. I think it is the open... \'They\' thought it was the 40K single....

Darn it. Does that mean it\'s going to be a mad, tough Open category this year? And after I\'ve put in a massive effort this year?

I\'m gonna get my face kicked off aren\'t I?

:(
