Aaarghh, and so I start over again...

Oh boy, I was so happy with how my squig hopper was turning out. Squiq all done and ok. Then I was really getting along nicely with the goblin, nice smooth skin tones, blending nicely.
And then for the finishing touch I really screw it up with too harsh highlights, that of course also turn a bit chalky....
So lets fix this thing, a little wash here, some more shadows back there and... and...
And last but not least cover the whole damn goblin back with black, so we can start fresh again tomorrow...

Ah well, at least I have learned something... again...

And to cheer me up the postman brought some lovely little black boxes filled with very nice hobbits from Copplestone casting.

Daan, I feel your pain....the bane of painters..we fiddle and fiddle and fuss a mini right over the edge and into the paint stripper. Sobbing at all those 10’s that became 0’s just because I didn’t know when to quit......... :~(

Yup... altough, my bane was; after painting a mini wich I thought went _really_ well (doesnt happen much)... I didnt look too closely wich can i took... so, after shaking, I started spraying...

No, no chaos black or skullwhite (this time) but it was graffitti-remover... I dindt even have to strip the mini (ok, a bit maybe)...

I am suddenly filled with saddness over the pain of my fellow man. I\'ve done much of the same things with my mini\'s. But just to add something different, I am painting six (sets of four) orcs for auction. I went back to the first set to start my touch ups and washes. I then proceded to (accidentaly) armor wash one of thier faces, yeah. :flip::bouncy::flip:

I feel your pain! I used to use brush on sealer and once grab the wrong bottle and started brushing only to have the paint on the mini run into a puddle. I\'d grabbed a bottle of thinner (back in the enamel paint days). Ended up getting so mad I threw the whole thing in the dust bin.:flame:

More a case of nostalgia than anything else.

Lil\' Coleman has a serious advantage over Schwarzenegger: He presents the smaller target to throw eggs at. lol

I\'ve always liked those little guys, riding a squig would be lots of fun...

It\'s great that all your basics like lighliting and neatness and color choice is already so good, this will really help when you tackle a bigger project

I have just got back from Games Day. Broke, hot, tired. Didn\'t get into the GD arena at all cos they let every five year old with a \'left leg of Roc\' (vincegamer\'s classic) enter so I couldn\'t be arsed with the queues.

I left for GD three days ago, and have only just come back. Olfactory senses are OK but not much use unless I can get to a terminal.
