Very nice! I like it. The muted colours work very well and give him the evil look that chaos dwarves should have.

he looks pretty good. base is a bit plain though - part of me likes that, part of me doesn\'t!

The base is highlighted strongly on the edges and strongly shaded under the dwarf and in the crevices. The downside is the picture has washed that out, so it is hardly noticeable.
Same problem with the reds. I used ink to really intensify the color, but it is not very noticeable.

hehe love the post title, and the fact the mini has a real Dick Dastardly look about him. Red hat is nice.

False advertising!
I\'m willing to bet that dwarf would claim that he is very near average and awfully close to center on the bell curve in terms of his height (not even counting his hat!).
Love seeing the old chaos dwarves for some reason too. And as has been said, nice work on the reds for the armor and hat and metallics on him.
I\'m certain he never had to sit on the floor in front of everyone and hold the sign for his class pictures in Chaos Dwarf Elementary School.

This guy was my test model for doing a full 10 man unit with command for contest.
Naturally I ran out of time and only finished the one, but I still have plans to get the other 9 done, or at the most do 10 more models. it has taken me quite a while to gather them but I have enough Chaos dwarf models to do a full unit.
I am glad you approve on the reds, I have worked very hard to be able to do red well. My metallics are coming along, as I prefer them to NMM more often than not.
Any suggestions on where to improve, other than my cruddy picture taking, would be greatly appreciated. I am hopeful this weekend I can take some real quality pictures and put them up.
