i was flicking through the latest white dwarf, and i came across the model of vulkan hestan. is it possible that anyone could tell me how the brown on his cloak was painted?

You\'d have been better off PM\'ing one of the team and asking them directly for some advice.
Whatever the forums come up with is just second guessing and could be wildly innacurate, which would be of no real help to you.

Personally I think that its a model that doesn\'t really appeal to me. But that could be down to the complexity of the posture making it difficult to photograph.

Strange figure really, and - dare I say it - I think the painting seems a little bit over the top. On a figure with this much detail, I would have preferred a simpler paint job on it really.

Think he means the white.

Looks like Kommando Khaki up to Skull White. Might be a little extra shading...

Hey :) It\'s Dheneb stone, shaded using glazes of a mix of scorched brown and black, then blended back up to Dheneb, then up to white :)
