A new snotling

Please have a look at my new snotling. After the advice on my 1st snotling I think there is a lot of improvement.

I just love these little boogers, so I am biased..

Lets be honest, there isn\'t a lot you can do to these little fellas. You can either F*** them up or get them right. I personally think they have a glass ceiling of 6.

You have done well with this little man however, the only way you could up your score would be to do something spectacular like a SENMM ball and chain.... That would be a sight to see...Arjay....???

Thanks! I will hold of on the whole SENMM and NMM till I get the rest of the paint where I want it though. Anybody ever did a ball and chain that way?

Youre right about snotlings, I just cant seem to resist them. But I am taking little steps at a time, so our next candidate is a goblin.

That\'s just about as much as you can do with a snotling....unless you want to take a year to paint your army!

There\'s quite a bit of improvement over your last snotling. I love these guys. Someone should do a movie about snotlings. Maybe just take Gremlins II and airbrush snotling over all the Gremlins.

yup, clean niced well sized photos with many angkes. nice stuff. but the sad truth is unless yor a painting god its hard to get real basic minis kicking high scores unless you go all out with bases or a mini diorama. like say a empire guy was running scared from the snotling that would score you humour points. i think its a great job specially on something so small 2.

Oh yes. SENMM would go a long way. Chain is pretty easy to do that way and the ball is really basic shape to do. Try it!

I will pass on the whole SENMM and NMM thing for now. Lets see if I can get some kind of blending going first.
For now I end up screwing up a very nice blended skintone by rushing in with a much too harsh final highlight.

Soo for tonight I have washes and/or glazing on the menu to try and fix that.

True enough. You could try building light direction dependant highlights there on the skin. apart from that it\'s another mini for more practise!:bouncy:

Did you know: If you mix some green and brown ink and PVA glue, you can model some nice clinging drool into a open mouth of a suitable model. Like this snot\'s.:bouncy:

battered and bruised!

as they are the lowest life forms of the ork species, they would be kicked around and abused. you could try bruising,black eyes effects. i wouldnt suggest it though because you have a very nice mini as it is. makes you think though! would be a good challenge for people to create the highest marked snotling for cmon?
