Bright Lights studios were ace! They made the video for several of my favourite games, Realms of the Haunting and Final Liberation being two. They were based in Scummy Coventry but they\'d gone long before I ended up here. Some of the bits and bobs they made are still knocking around.

Takes me back that does... Thanks for posting it :D

classic. it\'s a shame that someone can\'t do some decent space marine cg stuff. a proper film/series would absolutely rock. i think they really need space marines as cg coz otherwise they look stupid

And to the average Joe Public they don\'t? lol
Mind you, to some gamers they look stupid. :innocent:

But Yes, I understand your point very well they do have a limited movement/posture capability so that if it were \"Live Action\" their marching would be very akin to the Cybermen in recent Doctor Who episodes.

Not to mention, a rather problematic anatomy. :]

:D Thanks Tim, I have seen these clips before now that they load up better from youtube than myspace :)

Is it just me or does the Marine entering at the beginning remind you of John Cleese and the \"Ministry for funny walks\" sketch when the marine first walks into view lol

That is quite old.
I\'d seen clips shown \"Big Screen\" at Gamesday when in the NIA years ago but not the whole thing.
I know it was released as a video, but I refused to pay an over inflated price for such a short piece. IIRC it was around £15-£20.

Eastenders,
Coronation street,
Neighbours
Home & away

Think I prefer this video.
seconded. eastenders makes the bleak future of the 41 millenium look like a walk in the park!

I saw this on the bus back from games day a few years back - think somebody had bought it thinking it was brilliant. I think that the whole concept of marines has been advanced so much now that it just seems odd that a marine would feint from having his hand blown off. Quite cool that bolters actually work like they\'ve always been explained to

Just a matter of time before someone will actually try to create real power armour and weapons...

Prototypes already exist, but there are pratical problems (power supply, weight, ...) :

I think the costumes look pretty cool but the special effects and acting suck. Those marines act like total pansies.
