40k goes RC. BobPanda style.

now that simple converting got somehow boring i wanted to start with something new. i decided to rc some 40k tanks.
i already several pretty nice attempts in the internet, but not a single one in real 40k-scale working properly without a cable connected.
so i started with something easy: a landraider.
i decided to keep it as cheap and simple as possible for those who want to try the same.
than i started a second LR, but this time using servos for the secondary functions.
than i decided to start with a baneblade.
it wasn\'t that dificult, but if you look closely you will see that the wheels do not realy move. but at least the turrets rotate, and the canon can be moved up and down.
currently i\'m working on the second BB which will become a shadowsword.
but this time with a better motorconcept allowing me to run both tracks with steppless adjustable speeds.
further i integrated a singlewheelsuspension, better and better treads. if everything works fine the canon will be able to fire 6mm balls.

The Baneblade is just soooo cool. The ultimate 40k collectors dream; not only is it a cool looking kit..... it\'s remote controlled as well !!!! Oh the fun you could have with that.
I notice that some of the drive cogs and supports are made from Lego, are the tracks Lego as well ? And is that a reversing light I saw on the clip of the BB?If so hats off to you for a neat bit of detailing; although being a bit anal shouldn\'t it be white instead of red ?:D

OMG! That baneblade is the coolest thing I have seen in a while. I love what you did. I can\'t wait until you show that off painted. SWEET!

for the LR i used a 1:30 sherman from heng long.

for the 1st baneblade i used a 1:24 leo2 from hen long, and some miniservos and a pair of plastictreads from vstank for 1:24 abrams.

for the shadowsword i used a pershing 1:30, also ffrom heng long, some normal heavily modified servos for the motor, and a standard 2-channel control. for this tank i used the 1:24 plastictreads from vstank for leopard2.
