i think the lower wall section is the way to go honestly... yuou had a good point about that. im making my own 3d board as well. but out of foamcore, plasticard and foam instead. im looking at around $200 total for myself. but i wont have the perfection you have.

Ok let me be the first to say that if you did cast and attempt to sell you\'d be getting a visit from the GW lawyers.

Plus advertising or using COOLMINIORNOT to make these available for sale breaches the Terms and Condictions of use Section 5.

Not sure if the 25% vertical wall is going to work. Still looks like it would be still to tall, hiding minis :(. I\'d say work on more variations of the 45% base and go from there. So far, I\'m digging what you\'ve got going, Keep it up!

How so, if he sells them as generic board bits, with no GW imagery it should be ok, no?

If they\'ve got any elements of GW models in the masters then the lawyers will have a field day. The only way he could possibly get away with it (in terms of making a commercial piece) is if he completely scratch built it himself. Of course, then they may just go after him for \"passing off\"...

The pieces have easily identified original items from GW\'s production.
plus and I quote from the very first post here:
\"Using a bunch of city fight pieces I came up with this rough mock up, and also started a mould for the floor tiles so that I can replicate as many as I need.\"

Having stated that within this forum and then to state that he /she would consider selling them off set costs, puts a legal onus on Coolminiornot.

While we cannot stop him carrying out what is an unlawful act in physical terms, we as Mods will have to take reasonable action to ensure that Coolminiornot is not used as a conduit for an illegal act.

I think this looks mega cool. I have always toyed with a \'hulky\' idea but didn\'t start the project as you will know its a huge project plus i dont have the programs, equipment or skill needed to create such a accurate I.P free design. Plus i knew that cost would be a real issue. I think you have done a great job. :) I would lower the walls though for ease of gameplay.

Oh i would listen to Mike about the I.P thing though if your using other companies parts.

To help control the amount of space consumed in order to play & to keep the corridor heights down you could...

- keep the short 45 degree wall bits attached to the floor
- drop the vertical wall sections completely
- create a 45 degree set of steps to sit within wall sections
- create floor sections that notch onto wall top surface
- fill the dead space between corridors with second level rooms

Does that make sense? The idea of trying to use Paint to show what I mean is a horror lol

Use this current design for your personal Space Hulk specific game board & as a practice experience for producing your own range of Space Ship interiors, entirely realised yourself, once you\'ve ironed out the kinks :)
