A friend gave me a mini to paint as I said I wanted some minis to practice on.
He asked that I paint the cloak red and the loin cloth blue to match the rest of his army and that I use metallics rather than nmm.
So far I have done this:
I have tried to get a bluish silver tone to the armour...
Despite my best attempts to avoid it happening I have ended up getting some paint in the ferrule of my new Series 7 :~(. I was painting late last night and must not have cleaned the brush well enough and it is visible around the rim of the ferule now.
My question is how to remedy the situation...

I have really attempted to raise my game after seeing the quality of the minis on this site and am pleased with how she has turned out.
A lot of the techniques I tried were very new to me so any comments on where I need to improve and how to go...
I was just wondering whether the Dullcote I have read so much about is a special kind of varnish or whether any old matte varnish will do the same job...
I am in Japan and have never seen dullcote sold and according to their website they wont ship internationally if the product contains...
