    About the image zoom ...

Wasn't there an image zoom function available after the redesign? I still get the magnifier icon on mouse-over for many pictures, but nothing happens when I click. IIRC the full size image used to open in a new layer. Was the zoom function removed? Why? I tried this in different browsers (IE9...

    How to paint 'gold-tinged green'?

Currently I am thinking about how to paint a 'gold-tinged green'. Should I use typical NMM gold colors with lots of green for shading? Should I use metallics mixed with green? Heck, what is 'gold-tinged green' anyway? What would you do? Thanks for your ideas and help :)

    BattleTech: Flashfire

I would like to here your thoughts about my latest submission, a Flashfire BattleMech from Ironwind Metals. This is my ... um ... third miniature for the year ... being a father is the most awesome thing to ever happen to me (my first son was born in March 2010), but this really messes up my...

    Tau Air Caste Pilot

2010 started slowly and quite busy, but I can finally present my first miniature for the year - a Tau Air Caste Pilot from Forgeworld. This is also my first experience with a resin miniature other than the occasional scenic base, bit or plinth. To tell the truth I was having some difficulties...

    Female Barbarian by Freebooter Miniatures

Let me start by saying than I'm usually not a big fan of Freebooter Miniatures. Most of the time the style is just not my cup of tea. This one is different though - I liked this sculpt from the moment I first saw it and finally came around to painting the Female Barbarian (stupid name though ...

    Looking for basing ideas

How would you base this miniature: http://www.rackham-store.com/boutique/images_produits/zRACLG003_1.jpg I have a pretty good picture in my mind how I will paint this one, but for the base? I admit I am lost ... Right now the plan is to place the miniature on a resin plinth (2\" inch Mini...

My miniature mountain is growing and growing ... to make room for new stuff I have decided to sell some miniatures. Iron Kingdoms: Draegyn

My latest work is Draegyn from Privateer Press\' Iron Kingdoms range. I finally finished it after three unsucessful tries earlier ... With this miniature it is almost like a love/hate relationship. The sculpt is awesome in my opinion and inspired by Fluffy\'s fantastic version I always wanted...

    Hurk the Noblin

That strange thing often referred to as \"real life\" is quite stressy for me at the moment so I hardly find the time or the motivation to tackle big projects right now or to paint the miniatures I really should paint. So as some sort of stress relief I tackled Hurk the Nobiln, another fantastic...

How about a BattleMech for a change

My latest submission is an Arbalest BattleMech for the game Battletech manufactured by Iron Wind Metals. I originally painted the miniature about 1 year ago, but made some additional detailing last week (scratches, warning stripes, ...). Last Saturday there was a Convention in Antwerp / Belgium...

Scavenger - a Mad Puppet miniature

I offer my latest work for review and discussion - a Scavenger sculpted by Edgar Ramos for his own line Mad Puppet Miniatures. Sculpt and casting quality on this one were superb, a real joy to work with. Overall I am quite happy with the result. The weakest part is probably the hair, but I haveb...

    Nyss Sorceress

I offer my latest work for discussion - the Nyss Sorceress from Privateer Press Iron Kingdoms range. This is a miniature I wanted to paint for a long time. Unfortunately she was always sold out when I wanted to buy her :( Recently a friend asked me to paint the mini for him and naturally I...

    Pixie Trickster

My first miniature for 2007 is one of Rackham\'s Pixie Tricksters - my personal favorite of the three. The white parts were built up using some of the new P3 colors: Hammerfall Khaki -> Menoth White Highlight -> (a tiny bit of) White. For shading I used VMC Russian Uniform. The pumpkin head...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

My latest submission was my Christmas gift for my dad this year - the Good, the Bad and the Ugly from Artizan Designs. He is a huge fan of the movie and, well, it is one of the best movies ever, hands down :) The sculpts aren\'t packed with detail but are full of character in their own right...

    Jhureen Hecatha, Satyxis Raider

My latest work is Jhureen Hecatha, Satyxis Raider from Privateer Press\' Iron Kingdoms range. The choice of colors was a bit of an accident. I once saw a miniature using Tanned Skin and Blue Liner for the skin, resulting in a nice blueish grey. Originally I wanted to try something similar but I...

    Looking for feedback

Here is my latest submission, the Iosan Fighter from Privateer Press\' awesome Iron Kingdoms range of miniatures. I posted this one about a week ago but since I am looking for improvement I am putting the mini up for discussion. Even though the voters think otherwise I think this is my best...
