Started painting miniature in 1999. I spent many hours trying to learn control of the brush. I am still a novice even though I have been painting g for many years. I favor dry brushing because I find it easy and effective to bring out my highlights. I don't even know if understand how to paint professionally. I watch videos, read articles and paint models to my standards of acceptability. I feel I paint well but still have much to learn. I just attempted my first wet pallet model, but finished it with dry brushing. I figure that a little progress at a time will improve quality. My next goal is to learn more about color selection instead of what I think might look good together.
